The Post this morning has an
article on the completion of the reconstruction of the Pentagon. Took 17 years because they redid the structure without closing it down. I mention this only because USDA's South Building is about 10 years older than the Pentagon and is also being renovated. I don't know where they are with the project, but I did see the House ag appropriations process raided the USDA building fund for various favorite programs.
Wing 3 and 4 are remodeled and open. Wing 5 was recently completed and will be refilled soon. Nothing on wings 1, 2, 6 and 7.
ReplyDeleteIf the House appropriations bill goes through unchanged, which it won't, the four wings won't get worked on anytime soon. Building maintenance and renovation is not sexy.
