I detest eminent domain. Partially because the...Ew. I detest eminent domain. Partially because the method was abused by some real estate developers to take my cousins farm so they could build commercial buildings there. They were much more sly about the reasoning than that but I figured it out even as a child watching the whole thing unfold. Eminent domain should require payment of the owner's price, nothing less. If they won't sell then it can't be bought. This, of course, eliminates eminent domain but that's the point.
